Giving Tuesday 2023

This Giving Tuesday, we invite you to join us in our commitment to conduct and support research and science-based conservation initiatives that benefit birds and their habitats. We are offering five different ways to support us today.

1) Purchase a calendar

The 2024 edition of our annual calendar is now available! This 12-month wall calendar features portraits of birds that were measured, banded, and released during our research projects. Species featured this year include Magnolia Warbler, Baltimore Oriole, Northern Cardinal, and more. Get yours today >>

2) Adopt an owl

By symbolically adopting an owl for yourself or as a gift, you’ll be playing a vital role in advancing our understanding of Northern Saw-whet Owls and their incredible journeys across North America. You (or a designated recipient) will receive an official adoption certificate, a photo of the owl, its band number, and its original encounter data. Click here to learn more >>

3) Bid in our silent auction

Our online auction features a variety of exciting bird-themed items, including prints of some of our most popular photography and a unique opportunity to name and receive exclusive updates of a GPS-tracked owl. Browse and bid from the comfort of your home or office and support ongoing research projects happening here at Wild Bird Research Group. Click here to start bidding >>

4) Shop for merch

Display your support for Wild Bird Research Group with our branded tees, hoodies, hats, mugs, totes, and more. All proceeds from our shop sales go directly back to our work to conduct research that benefits birds and their habitats in the Americas. (And many of these items make excellent gifts for the bird lovers and conservationists in your life!) Click here to shop >>

5) Donate directly

If you’d rather bypass the calendars, auction items, and other goodies above, you can still help us reach our fundraising goals today by giving directly. Everything we do at Wild Bird Research Group is made possible by the generosity of supporters like you. Thank you. Donate today >>
