Coffee Collaboration
For the next 90 days, SRO will be contributing $5.00 from all 12 oz Costa Rican sales to benefit the Wild Bird Research Group (WBRG). Founded by Ric and Liz Goodman and based in a town near Asheville, North Carolina, the family-owned company sells coffee and dried fruit in 15 states across the country and ships the products nationwide online. Since the start of the company, SRO TM has worked with La Amistad to entirely source its coffee from the land as part of its commitment to sustainability. With no added ingredients, the company’s medium roast coffee is convection roasted to create a consistent flavor with each cup. We’re excited to partner with SRO TM to promote delicious coffee that is sustainably sourced to conserve important bird habitats.
La Amistad
Located in Costa Rica, La Amistad Estate has been a natural haven for plants and animals, including over 400 bird species, since 1889. The majority of La Amistad’s land, which has stayed in a family for generations, resides in a protected rainforest. In fact, this area is so vital that the United Nations and UNESCO designated it as a World Heritage Site and part of the World Biosphere Reserve. La Amistad is dedicated to the sustainable development of its land. That’s why it supports local indigenous communities, ensures the presence of safe drinking water for its county, and conserves the rainforest and the wildlife in it through using part of its profits, all while producing healthy, shade-grown coffee. Along with its internationally certified organic coffee, La Amistad harvests bananas, papayas, and pineapple. We’re proud to promote a family that puts sustainability first in producing coffee to protect the land and the birds, other wildlife, and people that rely on it.
